レポート：学府ならではの上映会＆ワークショップReport: GSII Film Screening and Workshop
2023年11月30日（木）、情報学環オープンスタジオで学府の学生有志団体Crossroadsによる映画の上映会＆ワークショップが開催されました。今回上映されたのはアイスランドのドキュメンタリー映画『＜主婦＞の学校』で、学府の院生である森下詩子さん（文化・人間情報学コース／博士課程）が配給された映画でもあります。上映会には約15名のITASIAを含むさまざまなコースの修士課程、博士課程の院生だけではなく配給を担当された森下さん、前田幸男先生、久野愛先生、藤田結子先生も参加され、学環・学府のいろんな垣根を越えた貴重な交流の場となりました。
映画はアイスランドにある男女共学の家政学校に注目した作品。良き主婦、花嫁の育成ではなく、「いまを生きる」ための知恵と技術を求めた学生たちが「主婦の学校」でおくる学びの日々を描いています。上映会ではアイスランドの伝統ヨーグルトが配られ、それを食べながらの鑑賞は、映画に登場するさまざまな伝統料理の味を想像することにもつながりました。
上映が終わったあとは3つのグループに分かれ、映画の題材でもある「家事」をキーワードにしたワークショップを行いました。過去・現在・未来に対応して、「子どもの頃好き／嫌いだった家事」、「いま好き／嫌いな家事」、「未来の家事はどうなるのか？」について先生方を交えながらのディスカッションは盛り上がりました。最後はそれぞれのグループで出た意見をみんなでシェアし、楽しく交流を深めることができました。コロナ禍を経て少しずつ対面のイベントも戻ってきましたが、今後もこういった学環・学府ならではの交流の場がもっと増えることを願います。

On November 30, 2023, a film screening and workshop by Crossroads, a voluntary organization of students in the GSII, was held at the III Open Studio. The film screened was “The School of Housewives,” an Icelandic documentary distributed by Utako Morishita (a doctoral student in the Cultural and Human Information Studies Course). The film screening was attended by about 15 master’s and doctoral students from various courses, including ITASIA, in addition to the aforementioned Ms. Morishita, and Professors Yukio Maeda, Ai Hisano, and Yuiko Fujita, providing a valuable opportunity for exchange across various divisions of the III/GSII.
The film focuses on a coeducational housewifery school in Iceland. The film depicts the learning process at the “The School of Housewives,” where students seek wisdom and skills to “live in the moment,” rather than training to be good housewives and brides. At the screening, traditional Icelandic yogurt was handed out, and watching the film while eating it helped the audience to imagine the taste of the various traditional dishes that appear in the film.
After the screening, the participants were divided into three groups and held a workshop with the keyword “housework,” which was also the subject of the film. The discussion was lively, with the professors and students engaging in conversations about “housework I liked/disliked as a child,” “housework I like/dislike now,” and “imagining housework in the future,” corresponding to the past, present, and future. At the end of the workshop, all of the participants shared their opinions in their groups and had a valuable time interacting with each other. While face-to-face events have gradually resumed after COVID-19, we hope to see more opportunities for this kind of III/GSII-specific place of interaction in the future.
