曹好さん（文化・人間情報学コース　修士課程1年、渡邉英徳研究室）の開発した平和教育ツール作品「平和のかけら」が、公益財団法人日本デザイン振興会 2023年度グッドデザイン・ニューホープ賞 入選(Honorable Mention)を受賞しました。2023年11月18日（土）に東京ミッドタウンにて受賞祝賀会が開催されます。また本作品は、2023年11月16日〜20日に東京大学にて開催の「東京大学制作展2023」でも体験展示される予定です。

受賞コメントと今後の抱負：

作品を評価していただき、大変光栄に存じます。 「平和のかけら」の制作には、渡邉英徳先生をはじめ、実践校の関係者、研究室関係者の皆さまほか、多くの方々からのご支援とご協力をいただきました。この場をお借りし、心からの感謝の意を申し上げます。

「平和のかけら」は、写真のパーツを通じて戦争と平和の日常を結びつける、次世代に向けた平和教育のツールです。今後も社会課題とデザインを結びつけ、より多くの人々の心に響く作品を制作するために全力を尽くしてまいります。

A peace education tool titled “Pieces of Peace” by Ms. Hao Cao (Cultural and Human Information Studies Course, Master’s Student, Hidenori Watanave Laboratory) received the Good Design New Hope Award 2023 from the Japan Institute of Design Promotion. An awards ceremony will be held at Tokyo Midtown on Saturday, November 18, 2023. “Pieces of Peace” will also be exhibited at the iiiExhibition 2023, scheduled to take place from November 16 to 20, 2023, at the University of Tokyo.

Ms. Cao’s comments and future plans:

It is a great honor to receive this prize. I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the support and cooperation of many people in the production of “Piece of Peace,” including Dr. Hidenori Watanave, the staff of the practicing school, and the members of the Watanave laboratory. I am truly grateful for their support.

The award-winning work is a peace education tool designed for the next generation, connecting war and peace in everyday life through photo parts. I will continue to do my best to connect social issues and design to create works that will resonate with more people in the future.
