佐野翔子さん(先端表現情報学コース 修士2年・矢谷研究室所属）の研究が、IT Media NEWSで紹介され、複数のメディアに掲載されました。

紹介された研究・活動について：
COVID-19や技術の進展に伴ってリモートワークが浸透し、効率性やコスト面で多くの利点がもたらされる一方、他社とのアイデンティティや帰属感に必要とされていた雑談機会が減少しています。そこで、リモート環境においてもユーザが雑談に参加しやすいように支援するインタフェースを検討し、その効果について検証しました。

佐野さんの今後の抱負：
簡単に定量化できない様々な変数が実社会には存在することが、社会実装における難しさの１つだと思っています．そのため，今回の調査を踏まえて明らかになったことが、より詳細な検討・理想のインタフェース実現への糧となればいいなと思っています。

The research activity of Ms. Shoko Sano (2nd year master’s student, Emerging Design and Informatics Course) has been introduced on IT Media NEWS and several media outlets.

About the research and activities introduced：
With the advancement of COVID-19 and technology, remote work has become more widespread, bringing many advantages in terms of efficiency and cost. Yet at the same time, opportunities for chatting, which were necessary for a sense of identity and belonging with others, have decreased. To solve this problem, we proposed an interface to support users to participate in chatting even in remote environments, and verified its effectiveness.

Ms. Sano’s future aspirations：
I believe that one of the difficulties in social implementation is that there are numerous variables in the real world that cannot be easily quantified. Therefore, I hope that what was learned from this survey will provide inspiration for more detailed studies and the realization of an ideal interface for casual chatting in remote environments.
