「未踏スーパークリエータ」は「突出したIT人材」を発掘・育成するために独立行政法人情報処理推進機構（IPA）が行っている未踏IT人材発掘・育成事業において、その中でも特に卓越した能力を持つと認められた人材に認定される賞です。
【受賞された研究・活動について】
プロジェクト名：「布製ウェアラブル手書き入力デバイスの開発」
近年、スマートウォッチやスマートグラスをはじめとするスマートフォンに代わる新しいウェアラブルデバイスが多く開発されている。しかし、ウェアラブルデバイスは文字入力が難しく、アプリケーションに制限がある。そこで本プロジェクトでは、身につけられる文字入力デバイス「wearbo」を開発した。 本デバイスは、入力方法を覚える必要やデバイスに目を向ける必要なく、また追加のデバイスを持ち歩くことなしにウェアラブルデバイスでの文字入力を可能にする。未踏期間中には太腿の部分で入力ができるズボン型デバイスと文字入力システムを実装した。また、布ならではのインタラクションを盛り込んだハンカチ型デバイスを試作した。これにより、「全てを身につけて、どこまでも手ぶらで」出かけられる世界の実現を目指す。

【About the Awarded Research/Activity】
Project name: A Handwriting Text Entry Interface Using Conductive Yarn for Wearable Devices
In recent years, many new wearable devices have been developed to replace smartphones, including smart watches and smart glasses. However, wearable devices are difficult to input text and have limited applications. To overcome this problem, this project has developed a wearable text entry device called “wearbo”. This device enables text input on wearable devices without the need to learn how to input, without the need to look at the device, and without the need to bring around additional devices. During the MITOU Project period, we implemented a pants-type device that allows input at the thigh and a text input system. We also developed a prototype of a handkerchief-type device that incorporates interactions unique to cloth. Through these efforts, we aim to realize a world in which people can wear everything and go anywhere with nothing on their hands.
