2024年学際情報学府 留学生旅行GSII International Student Tour 2024
10月26日（土）に、浅草で日帰りの留学生旅行が開催され、留学生17名と教職員6名が参加しました。当日は雨予報もあり、天気が懸念されておりましたが、ツアー中は雨雲も遠ざかり、穏やかな気候の中で行程を進めることができました。
東大から電車で蔵前駅に移動した後、ガイドの方の案内に沿って蔵前から浅草まで徒歩で移動しました。道中、江戸時代から続くどじょう店や、スカイツリーを眺めながら、和気藹々とした雰囲気の中、浅草に到着しました。到着後は雷門の前のお店でちゃんこ鍋の昼食をいただいたきながら交流を深めました。食後は雷門の前で集合写真を撮りました。
その後、仲見世商店街を通って浅草寺を散策しました。浅草寺では多くの学生がおみくじをひき、ガイドの方に結果を見せて解説をしてもらったり、おみくじを持って自撮りをしたりと楽しんでいました。
体験は、浅草「和なり屋」でハンカチの藍染め体験をしました。手袋と割烹着を着け、独特の藍染め液の匂いの中、声を掛けながらしっかりと揉みこんでいきました。待ち時間にはクイズもあり、次第に難易度が上がって学生によって回答が分かれ、大いに盛り上がりました。お店の前で、染めたハンカチを持って集合写真を撮りました。
最後は自由時間を設けましたが、仲良くなった学生同士で浅草花やしきを訪れたり、お土産を購入したり、ガイドの方に教わった380円ラーメンの店を訪れたりと、それぞれ楽しい時間を過ごしました。
午後5時には東大に戻り、解散しました。課程やコースが異なるために日頃はあまり接点のない学生同士も自然と打ち解け、新たな学生同士の環が広がっている様子が見受けられ、留学生担当冥利に尽きる１日となりました。

On October 26, 17 GSII international students, accompanied by 6 staff members, gathered for a tour of the Asakusa district of Tokyo. The tour began with a brief train ride from the Hongo campus to Kuramae. From there, the tour group walked towards Kaminarimon, stopping for lunch at a Chankonabe restaurant. After lunch, they continued along the famous Nakamise shopping street lined with souvenir stalls, finally arriving at Sensoji temple. Many of the students drew traditional fortune slips, for which the tour guide provided explanations.
Having visited the sites, the tour participants then visited Asakusa Wanariya, where they had hands-on experience of Japanese indigo dying, each producing their own individual hand-died handkerchief. While waiting for the die to set, they participated in a quiz. The mood became increasingly lively as the level of the questions rose, and the students’ answers became more diverse.
The final part of the tour consisted of free time, during which the participants were able to deepen their new friendships. While some enjoyed the rides at Asakusa Hanayashiki, others shopped for souvenirs or dined at an inexpensive ramen restaurant recommended by the tour guide.
In a graduate school containing such a wide range of courses and research subjects, it is often difficult for students to make acquaintances outside their own fields. The tour therefore provided a valuable opportunity for the development of broader friendships among members of the GSII’s diverse student body.
