東京大学制作展2020″弛む”iii exhibition 2020 "Tayumu"
2020年11月13日(金)〜16日(月) の4日間にわたり、東京大学制作展2020「弛む」をオンライン上にて開催しました。東京大学制作展は、学際情報学府の授業の一環で、コンセプト設定・展示物制作・運営を学生中心で行うメディアアートを中心とした展示会として、毎年7月と11月の2回開催しています。
本制作展はCOVID-19の感染拡大状況を考慮し、7月の東京大学制作展Extra2020「WHO ZIPS YOU?」に引き続き、例年と異なるオンラインでの開催となりました。そこでextraの経験を生かし作品や企画を改善し来場者の体験向上を図りました。その一環として感染対策を講じながら、キャンパス内の情報学環オープンスタジオから作品のライブ配信や作者へのインタビューのライブ配信を実施しました。
学際情報学府や情報学環教育部の学生だけでなく、本学の情報理工学系研究科や教養学部、さらに多摩美術大学、東京藝術大学など他大学から幅広い所属の学生が運営に参加しました。また、SNSや各種メディアを通し情報発信をし、全世界から約1,800名の方にご来場いただき、多くの方に本展覧会をお楽しみいただきました。
本制作展は，以下の「弛む」というコンセプトと、以下のコンセプト文とともに企画・展示を行いました：
「弛む」
私達は沢山の人やものと見えない糸でつながっています。
その糸をピンと張りすぎていませんか？
張りすぎた糸はプツリと切れてしまいます。
弛むことは張ることと同じくらい大切なことです。
弛むからこそ柔軟さがあり 解ける絡まりがあります。
糸を弛ませて生まれる心の余裕を愉しもう。
そのような契機になればという気持ちを込めて皆さんに作品を提示します。
本年度の制作展は新たな挑戦の連続で、この経験を通してこれからの研究活動だけでなく、今後の人生に役立つ経験を多く得ることができました。終わりに、本制作展の開催に協力いただいた全ての方々に心より感謝申し上げます。

An exhibition titled the University of Tokyo iiiExhibition 2020 “Tayumu” was held online for four days from November 13 (Fri.) to 16 (Mon.), 2020. The exhibition is held twice a year in July and November as a part of the curriculum of the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies. In this media art focused exhibition, participating students are responsible for everything including organizing, concept setting, and artwork creation.
Like iiiExhibition Extra2020 “WHO ZIPS YOU?” held in July, but unlike exhibitions held before then, this exhibition was held online in consideration of the spread of COVID-19. Based on the experience of iiiExhibition Extra, we tried to improve the art works and projects to enhance the experience of visitors. As part of this, we live-streamed the works and interviews with the artists from the Open Studio on campus, while taking measures against infection.
A wide range of students were involved in the project, not only students of the GSII and the III’s Undergraduate Research Student Program, but also students from other departments and universities. We sent out information through SNS and various media, and the number of visitors reached about 1,800 from all over the world, and many people enjoyed the exhibition.
The exhibition was organized on the theme of “Tayumu” as presented in the following concept statement:
“Tayumu”
We are connected to many people and things with invisible threads.
Is the thread too tight?
If the thread is too tight, it will break.
Loosening is as important as stretching.
There is flexibility because it loosens, and there is an entanglement that can be unraveled.
Let’s enjoy the leeway of the heart born by loosening the thread.
I will present my work to everyone with the hope that it will be such an opportunity.
There were many new challenges in this exhibition. Through this experience, we have gained many useful experiences not only for our future research activities but also for our future lives.
