石田英敬教授 最終講義The Final Lecture of Professor Hidetaka Ishida
石田英敬先生の御退職を記念した講演会が2019年3月13日、福武ホールにて開催されました。石田先生は、1992年の東京大学教養学部へのご着任以来、駒場では、総合文化研究科にて、言語情報科学専攻、また、本郷でも、情報学環・学際情報学府の設立にご尽力され、その後、2009年から2012年までは、情報学環長・学際情報学府長を務められました。福武ラーニングシアターで行われた最終講義は、「文明の療法としてのメディア記号論」と題され、石田先生のこれまでの大学人としての歩みを振り返るだけでなく、今後の展望を垣間見せるもので、150人以上の参加者が興味深く聴講しました。また、講義後には、ラーニングスタジオにて祝賀会が開催され、大いに盛り上がりました。

The final research presentation commemorating the retirement of Professor Hidetaka Ishida was held at the Fukutake Hall on March 13, 2019. Joining the College of Arts and Sciences on Komaba campus in 1992 as Associate Professor, Prof. Ishida devoted himself to the establishment of the Department of Language and Information Sciences in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, as well as that of the Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies on Hongo campus. Between 2009 and 2012, he served as dean of the III. An audience of more than 150 listened with much interest and attention to the presentation titled “Semiotics of Media as a Cure for Civilization”, which not only retraced his academic itinerary but also gave perspectives on his intellectual projects. The celebration party held thereafter in the Fukutake Learning Studio was also very lively.
