Actiii_lunch 学環コモンズでランチを囲むLunch meeting at Gakkan Commons
4月19日（水）、第1回のActiii_lunchを開きました。Actiii（アクティー）とは「学際研究を促進するために情報学環のリソースをアクティベートしていくこと」を目標にしたプロジェクトです（詳しくはhttp://actiii.netをご覧ください）。プロジェクトの一環として開催するActiii_lunchは、情報学環の先生方と学生たちが学環コモンズで昼食を囲むことで、カジュアルな雰囲気のもとで交流を促す目的があります。
今回は、学環長でもある佐倉統先生にお越しいただきました。集まった参加者には博士課程の学生から、たまたま都合のついた学環教育部OBの方もいらっしゃいました。昼休みの1時間ほどのあいだに、情報学環・学際情報学府をどうやって盛り上げていけるのかという話題で話がはずみました。
例えば、今の学環は先生ごとに研究内容の独立性が高く、隣の研究室が何をやっているのか分からなくなりがちという事情があります。実際に私自身が修士課程に在籍しているあいだも、同じコースの研究室がどんなゼミをやっているのかさえ知らないこともしばしばありました。では、学生たちはどこで研究室やコースを横断して、学際的な交流をすることができるのでしょうか。
一つの可能性として、学環学府が主催している「制作展」があるという話が出ました。メディアアートの展覧会をつくるという共通の目標のもと、コースの違いを超えて活動する制作展は学生どうしの関係を築くうえで有望そうです。ただ実際には、制作技術に興味のある理系コースの学生と、展示コンセプトの方に興味のある文系コースの学生のあいだで意識のズレがあり、まだまだ良い活動するための余地は残っているようです。
このほかにも、最近注目している研究者を佐倉先生と学生のあいだで紹介しあうなど、興味深い会話のつづく時間となりました。今後も様々な知的交流のきっかけになるよう、Actiiiの活動を続けていきたいと考えています。

Actiii_lunch was held for the first time on 19th April, 2017. Actiii is a student project which aims to activate the academic resources of III and GSII in order to accelerate interdisciplinary research. Actiii_lunch is a lunch meeting at Gakkan Commons that any professor or student can attend with the purpose of promoting casual conversation.
Prof. Sakura, the Dean of the GSII, was invited to this Actiii_lunch, and participants included doctor course students and alumni of the Undergraduate Research Student Program. During lunch, they talked about how to enliven the III and GSII.
One of the problems of the III and the GSII is the difficulty of knowing what other labs do because of great differences in research topic. In fact, when I was a master course student, I often had little idea about what kind of seminars were taking place in other labs. What can we do to solve this problem?
IIIexhibition was mentioned as one of the solutions. Students can build relationships across courses by collaborating with each other for a common purpose. However, there seems to be still room for improvement in iiiexhibition. Students of technological sciences are interested in technical aspects of media arts, while students of humanities and social sciences are interested in artistic concepts, leading to frequent misunderstanding.
The other topic of conversation was about the researchers the participants were interested in recently. We had a very interesting time during this Actiii_lunch. We hope to cocntinue Actiii and further accelerate intellectual and interdisciplinary interaction.
