令和3年度大学院学際情報学府 学位記伝達式GSII Graduation Ceremony 2021
令和4（2022）年3月24日、福武ホールラーニングシアターにて学際情報学府の学位記伝達式が行われました。修了者修士課程105名、博士課程24名に山内祐平学府長より学位記が授与され、修了生たちはひとりひとり学位記を受け取りました。また、学際情報学府の総代として全学の学位記授与式に出席した中野文哉さん（修士）と伊東謙介さん（博士）の紹介も行われました。
その後、山内学府長と前田幸男専攻長より祝辞が送られました。山内学府長からは、コロナ禍で多くの授業や行事がオンライン化し、初めは不慣れな状況の中でも着実に研究活動を続け、修了したことが称えられました。また、学際情報学府での学びを活かし、課題解決へ向けて積極的に挑戦を続けてほしいとメッセージが贈られました。
続いて前田専攻長から、オンライン化の中で物理的制約や時間的制約が取り払われ、より自由な考え方や発想が身についたことを前向きにとらえてほしいと呼びかけられました。また、学際情報学府で獲得した知力、判断力、自由な発想力を活かし、心身の健康を大切にして活躍してほしいとエールが贈られました。
また、例年式後に行われていた優秀修士論文発表会は、今年度はオンライン開催（オンデマンド型）となりました。本年度の優秀修士論文の受賞者は以下のとおりです。

The GSII Graduation Ceremony for the 2021 Academic Year was held on March 24th, 2022, in the Fukutake Learning Theater. One hundred and five students received their master’s degree diplomas and 24 students received their Ph.D. diplomas handed to them individually by Dean Yuhei Yamauchi. In addition, introductions were given for the two GSII representatives who attended the university-wide graduation ceremony, Fumiya Nakano (Master’s) and Kensuke Ito (Ph.D.).
After the certificates had been presented, Dean Yamauchi and Head of Department Yukio Maeda each gave speeches. Dean Yamauchi congratulated the graduates for their success despite the unfamiliar conditions resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic with many classes having to be held online. He also encouraged them to make use of their experience to face the further challenges of the future.
In his speech, Prof. Maeda hoped that the graduates would view positively the removal of physical and temporal restrictions brought about by the online learning environment, allowing a freer development of ideas. He appealed to them to apply the powers of understanding, judgment and free thought acquired as students to their future activities.
After the ceremony, students awarded for their outstanding theses and dissertations gave presentations. This year’s awardees are listed below:
