高木研究室『デジタルイノベーション・トークシリーズ』の開始Launch of “Digital Innovation Talk Series” by Takagi Lab
新型コロナウイルス感染症の拡大で、世界的に経済活動が大きく制限されている状況ですが、このような中にあっても、デジタル技術を活用したイノベーションが世界各地で進んでいます。その一方で、移動制限によって海外出張などの機会が減り、世界のデジタルイノベーションの最新動向を把握することが難しい状況も生じています。
そこで、世界の最先端で何が起こっているかをできるだけタイムリーに把握し、研究に反映したり、研究を社会にフィードバックする機会を作るため、高木研究室では、『デジタルイノベーション・トークシリーズ』というイベントを新たにスタートしました。
これは、各界のデジタルイノベーションの識者の方々をお招きしてご講演頂くとともに、研究室のメンバー、そして一般の参加者も含めて、できるだけ議論の時間を多く取りながら、双方向のスタイルで学んでいこうという試みです。
また、セミナーや講演会がオンライン化する中で、従来の「一方向の講演と質疑応答」という形式にとらわれることなく、カジュアルなトーク、講演、質問（チャット＋音声）などを組み合わせ、新たなイベント形式を模索する取り組みでもあります。
記念すべき第１回は『チャイナテック: 中国デジタル革命の衝撃』の著者で、伊藤忠総研の趙瑋琳さんをお迎えして2021年3月10日に開催されました。
当日は趙瑋琳さんから、中国におけるデジタルイノベーション全体の方向性や取り組み、AI（人工知能）、ブロックチェーン、クラウド、ビッグデータ、5Gなどを活用した最先端の取り組み、また、コロナ対策におけるデジタル技術活用など様々な内容についてご講演を頂き、研究室のメンバーと一般参加者がともに議論を行いました。
高木研究室では、今後も定期的に本トークシリーズを開催し、デジタルイノベーションの最新動向の把握と発信に取り組んでいく予定です。次回は5月18日の開催です。

Even with the restrictions on economic activities due to the Covid-19 pandemic, digital innovation is continuously evolving around the world. On the other hand, it has become difficult to grasp the latest trends of innovation due to the restriction on travel, particularly on international survey trips.
To solve this challenge, Takagi lab launched a “Digital Innovation Talk Series” to grasp what is happening in cutting-edge fields of innovation and provide feedback to research and to society. This initiative invites guest speakers who are experts on digital innovation around the world and tries to promote reciprocal learning involving lab members and also the wider public.
The memorable first event was held on March 10, 2021, inviting Weilin Zhao, a Research Fellow at Itochu Research Institute and the author of Chinatech: The Impact of the Chinese Digital Revolution” (a book originally published in Japanese). At the event, Ms. Zhao introduced overall trends of digital innovation in China and also the latest examples in areas such as AI, Blockchain, Cloud, Big Data, and 5G. Lab members and others participating held discussions on these topics.
Takagi lab plans to continue the talk series, with the aim of understanding and diffusing information on the latest trends in digital innovation. The next event is scheduled for May 18.
