東京大学制作展2025「あること⬜︎ないこと」開催報告Event Report: The University of Tokyo iii Exhibition 2025, “Something □ Nothing”
2025年11月13日(木)から17日(月) までの5日間にわたり、東京大学制作展2025「あること⬜︎ないこと」を本郷キャンパスにて開催しました。東京大学制作展は、学生主体で作り上げるテクノロジーとアートの融合を探求する展覧会です。情報・メディアアート分野の教員による監修のもと、東京大学大学院学際情報学府の学生を中心に、さまざまな専門分野を持つ学生たちが企画・制作・運営を手がけています。
今回のコンセプト「あること⬜︎ないこと」は同年7月に開催したプレ展示「東京大学制作展2025 Beginning『あることないこと』」を引継ぎながらも、さらに広がりを持たせたテーマです。このテーマは、見えること見えないこと、知っていること知らないこと、信じていること信じていないことなど、私たちが普段当たり前に感じている「あることないこと」の曖昧さや揺らぎ、変化や融合などの可能性に焦点を当てています。「あること」と「ないこと」の間に置かれた「⬜︎」は、その多面的な捉え方を自由に解釈してもらうための余白であると同時に、各作品が表現する解釈を表す記号を書き込む余白でもありました。今回の展示では、5日間でのべ2,195名の方にご来場いただき、多くの反響をいただきました。
また、「東京大学制作展クリエイターズ基金」による寄付募集は今年度で2年目となりました。既に多くの方々にご支援を賜り、制作展の活動をより一層深化させつつ継続することができております。ご寄付くださった皆様に心より御礼申し上げます。今後も、東京大学制作展に真摯に取り組む学生たちに向けて皆様からご支援を賜れましたら幸いです。

From November 13 (Thu.) to 17 (Mon.), 2025, the University of Tokyo iii Exhibition 2025, “Something ⬜︎ Nothing” was held over five days at Hongo campus. The iii exhibition is a student-led exhibition that explores the fusion of technology and art. Under the supervision of faculty members in information and media arts, students—primarily from the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies (GSII)—with diverse academic backgrounds take the lead in planning, creating, and operating the exhibition.
The concept “Something ⬜︎ Nothing” builds and expands upon the theme of the pre-exhibition “iii Exhibition 2025 Beginning: What Exists, What Does Not,” held in July of the same year. This theme focuses on the ambiguity, fluctuation, transformation, and fusion inherent in the “something and nothing” we encounter in everyday life—such as what is visible and invisible, known and unknown, or believed and disbelieved. The “⬜︎︎” placed between “something” and “nothing” serves both as a blank space inviting free interpretation and as a symbol into which each work inscribed its own unique perspective. Over the course of five days, the exhibition welcomed more than 2,000 visitors and received an overwhelmingly positive response.
This year also marked the second year of fundraising through the University of Tokyo “iii Exhibition Creators’ Fund”. Thanks to the generous support of many donors, we have been able to continue and further deepen the activities of the exhibition. We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who has contributed. We would be grateful for your continued support for the students who are earnestly involved in this exhibition.
