2017 “WYSIWYG?”iii Exhibition 2017 “WYSIWYG?”

2017 “WYSIWYG? – What You See Is What You Get?”

“WYSIWYG?”

– What You See Is What You Get?”

“What You See”

“What You Get”

– What You See Is What You Get?

iii Exhibition 2017 “WYSIWYG? – What You See Is What You Get?” was held from November 16th to 20th at the Faculty of Engineering Bldg.2 in Hongo Campus, and was attended by over 1500 people.

iii Exhibition is one of several practical classes given by the GSII annually, where students learn through practical experience how to produce works, such as media art, and how to organize exhibitions.

With media reports in advance and information disseminated by SNS, this exhibition took place on a larger scale than the preceding iii Exhibition Extra in July, as can be seen in the photographs. In particular, works such as “Mirrorless Mirror” and “Into the Womb” became major topics in SNS as well as news sites.

The theme of this exhibition was “WYSIWYG? – What You See Is What You Get?,” through which we focused on describing the essence of things that are hidden behind the things we usually see and overlook. Therefore, the exhibition’s key visual represents a large ice block lurking under the surface of an iceberg.

You can view our portfolios on the website, and experience the atmosphere of the exhibition on SNS.
